Chatta was bred by Conny and Joop Hartman and we travelled to Belgium to chose her from her litter when she was just six weeks old. We didn't see her again until August when she came to live with us, thanks to the Pet Passport Scheme and the generosity of her breeders.
She enjoyed a sensational start to her show career, winning Best puppy and the reserve bich CC at her second championship show, Birmingham City. She went on to win best puppy in breed and reserve in the pastoral group at Darlington Ch, best puppy in show and reserve best bitch at the Bearded Collie Club Open Show and three firsts and reserve BPIS at the Beardie Club of Scotland Ch Show. All within one month of entering the show ring! She won her Junior Warrant before becoming a very raw adolescent and taking a break from the shows.
In February 2006 she whelped a lovely litter to our Ch Gillaber Drummond. All three pups shown in the UK have won Ch 1st prizes, best puppy and best puppy in show awards. A son and daughter in Germany have won their Junior Championships and a daughter in America is an Am. Ch. Our own Ramblin' Rose won her Junior Warrant at 13 months and two brothers in the UK have won many ch firsts and best puppy in show awards.
Chatta returned to the ring in the autumn 2006 and has already won a reserve ticket. She is coming to her best and will be campaigned in 2007.
